My warmest wishes of love and condolence to all my Augustine cousins for your loss. My memories of Ricky are beautiful. He was a great guy, always happy and I still listen to his music. I hope you don't mind my posting a blog with the message to celebrate life every day because it can be so short. Rest in Peace, Ricky. http://balancesf.com/blog/celebrate_life_with_the_good_china Love, Nancy

To the Augustine Family - our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. While Rick's passing was certainly sudden, his lasting impressions on so many will allow his legacy to live on forever. Ever since i heard the news, I've had "Adventures in Kobosko Land" playing in my head. If only i could remember all the words..............just something about 'Chuckie' chasing a sibling around the root beer keg and getting a fork stuck in his leg"! Such a great family reunion memory thanks to Ricky. Know that Rick is enjoying some extra special time with your mom and dad these days. Keep your eyes and heart open the to the signals Rick will likely be sending you from above. Once you become aware of them, you'll embrace it and have a smile on your face becasue you'll know it's from him. God Bless and Keep You All

My favorite memories of Ricky: 1. His original song rendition: "Adventures in Kobosko Land" which was a huge hit at the family reunions. 2. The Delaware Family reunion where Ricky demonstrated for us how he could fly like Superman. But he jumped so high on the 3 stair risers that he face planted the wall and spent much of the evening receiving medical attention and a good number of stitches in his forehead. Yet I seem to remember seeing him later that evening...smiling and joking around. No surprise. A life well lived. Thanks for the memories. We'll miss you Ricky. Love, Patty
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

To Rick's family. I only wish I lived close enough to be there for the service and to celebrate this wonderful friend. I have not seen Rick in years and none of you know me, but he occupies a special place in my heart and life. I sang in a band with him in the early 80's and he was a dear person, a good friend and confidante, and a talented muscian. He was always a joy to be around, and someone that could always make me laugh. His original songs (like "You've Got the Dog" and "Going Back to Arkansas") are still household favorites in my family. The times I spent singing and playing with him were some of the best times I've ever had, both in terms of friendship and connection and in terms of musical satisfaction. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Blessings to all of you at what must be a really difficult time. Please know that Rick will be remembered with lots of love and affection, by me and by many others. Sincerely, Yvonne (Athorn) Telep

To the Family of Rick Augustine, I am very sorry for your loss... Rick was a very sweet and gentle soul.... always friendly and polite when he came to the Saratoga Hospital to conduct business (which is where we met) it was always a pleasure to see him and talk with him ... he brightened my day. We began one of our many conversations one day and I was surprised to learn of his very serious love for music ... Rick was generous enough to give me one of his CD's to listen to he was very talented... and I will miss his smiling face. God Bless. Brenda Cintula
