Alice (Moses) Shimer, 8/11/1930 – 12/24/2024
With sadness we announce our beloved mother and grandmother, Alice Shimer, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, at the age of 94.
She was pre-deceased by her parents Albert J. and Edith Moses along with her brothers Donald, Stanley, and Albert D. She was also pre-deceased by her former husband Edward Shimer.
Our loving mother and grandmother is survived by daughters; Phyllis Rothemeyer (Oakdale, CT) and Lisa Martin (Webster, NY). Grandchildren; Michael (Sabrina) Rothemeyer (Arlington, MA), Dayn (Kristyn) Rothemeyer (Lisbon, CT), Corey Rothemeyer (Providence, RI), Nicholas (Sarah) Martin (Macedon, NY), and Casey Martin (Tampa, FL). Great grandchildren; Patrick, Ethan and Katarina Rothemeyer; Connor, Cameron, and Callen Rothemeyer. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Ollie.
A special thank you to the staff at St. Louise Manor for her assistance and friendship.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring with a private burial at the Hawleyton Cemetery, Town of Binghamton.
