Althea Gyidik

Althea M. Gyidik, 87, passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, Wednesday, April 9, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Gyidik, Jr.; a son in law, John Bonadies; a daughter in law, June Gyidik; a sister, Esther Jean Stiefel and five brothers, Raymond; Ardo; Kermit; Albert and Kenneth Coats. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Bonadies, Scotia, NY; two sons and a daughter in law, Steven Gyidik, Maine, NY and Gary and Judy Gyidik, Vesta; three grandchildren, Lauren Bonadies and Kara and Jenna Gyidik; two step grandchildren, Terrie Silvernail and Tammie Survilla; four step great grandchildren; one sister, Marion Prindle, Willard, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. Althea was a member of the W.W. II Nurse Cadet Corps and a member of the Binghamton General Nursing School Reunion Group. She was also an Amateur Radio Operator (WA2KZI).
Funeral and Interment Services will be held Sunday at 2 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with Paula Gravelle officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Sunday from 12 pm until service time at 2 pm.
