Angela “Ang” Joan (Signorelli) Wallan of Endicott, NY passed away on Saturday, May 17, after a brief illness. She is survived by her sister Mary Ann (Robert) Sincavage and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends, including her lifelong friend Patricia Thomas, and David’s father, Lawrence Wallan. She was predeceased by beloved son David (Dena Deserio) Wallan; her parents, John and Angelina Signorelli; brothers Cosimo (Mary), Anthony (Joan), and Ralph (Anne) Signorelli; and sister Rose (Jerome) Bonventre.
Angela graduated from Union-Endicott High School and was employed for 35 years in the phlebotomy lab at Wilson Hospital, where she was known for her kind demeanor, and for helping patients and coworkers feel at ease.
Angela will be remembered as a warm, kind, and generous person to both animals (especially cats) and people. She made friends easily and she kept them for life. Ang valued her family above all else and enjoyed carrying on the family traditions. She looked forward to every gathering and celebration, where she was always able to light up the room with her warm smile, her big laugh, and, if you were lucky, sometimes her famous rice pudding or apple pie. She was in many ways the keeper of family folklore, which she delighted in sharing with the family. Ang’s usage of family Italian slang would have the group in stitches at family events. Her beautiful smile and sense of humor will be sorely missed.
“Your acts of kindness are iridescent wings of divine love, which linger and continue to uplift others long after your sharing.” - Rumi
