Anna (Nan) Cabrini Parise, (nee Baker), our beloved mother, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025 at Mercy House in Endicott New York. Anna was born and raised in Carbondale Pennsylvania on February 14, 1928 and moved to Endicott with her husband John and young family in 1956.
She was predeceased by her parents Leo and Anna (McHugh) Baker, her brother Walter, and sisters Leona Baker, Bernadine DelGercio, Margret Witchel and Romaine Layden. She was also predeceased by her infant daughter Mary and her husband John of 46 years.
Anna is survived by her daughters Anna Lott, Judy (Paul) Olson. Her 3 grandchildren Michael (Maura) Lott, Austin (Alicia) Laughlin, Aaron (Janine) Laughlin. She is survived by 7 great grandchildren Jackson, Olivia, Ivan, Iliana, Gabriela, Lucian Lott and Anson Laughlin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Anna worked in the Endwell Elementary school cafeteria where she made long time friends and bowling buddies. She also worked in Burts Department store in the Sports wear Departmen for 14 years. Anna was an original member of Our Lady of Angles Roman Catholic Church, now the Church of the Holy family. She was a founding member of the Alter and Rosery Society, prayer ministry, as well as supporting the annual bizarre with her many crafts and baking delicious cakes for church funerals which she guarded with fervor from her family before delivering them to the church social hall. Anna loved making Sunday spaghetti dinners for her family and spoiling her grandchildren. However, her favorite past time was sewing. She made beautiful dresses, Halloween customs, and crafts of all kinds
The family wishes to thank the staff at Ideal Senior Living Center (Rose Court), Hospice and the Mercy House staff for the tender care provided to our mother.
Calling hours will be held at the Allen Memorial Home, New York on September 21, from 1pm-3pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in Saint Rose of Lima Roma Catholic Church, Carbondale Pennsylvania. On October 3, 2025 calling hours will be at 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. Burial services will be private and at the convivence of the family.
