Anthony (Tony) Dekar, Endicott, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 6, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Angie; daughter Valerie; parents; brother Paul; sister Mary Ann and son in law Steve. Tony is survived by his wife Agnes; daughters Cassandra Bowen; Angeline (John) Manze and Amy (Ron) Parks; stepsons, Thomas (Nina) and John (LeeAnn) Shattuck; his grandchildren and great grandchildren Joshua (Jessica); Brittany (Blake, Kailey, Cameron); Brooke; Nathan; Samuel; Matthew; Joseph; Jonathon; Nicole; Lindsay and Jake, all brought great joy to his life, along with his loving brother and hunting/fishing buddy Walt (Sam). He served his country in the armed forces of the US Marines Corps, as a PFC, serving in the Pacific Theater and China. Tony was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott, the Czechoslovak Moravian Club, Johnson City American Legion Post 1305and was retired from Amphenol Cadre.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 11 am at St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott, Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at church Thursday from 9:30 am, until Mass time at 11 am. The Czechoslovak Moravian Club will meet at church, Thursday at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Shrine Fund, 207 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760 or Mother Theresa’s Cupboard,202 GarfieldAvenue, Endicott, NY 13760 or the charity of one’s choice.
