Anthony “Tony” Nirchi

Anthony L. Nirchi (Tony) 83, of Endwell NY passed away unexpectedly at home on January 9, 2018. He was born on October 4, 1934 in Endicott, NY to the late Philip and Mamie Nirchi; sister Louise Pisani, nephew David Pisani and brother in law Vincent Alfieri. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Irene (Davey) Nirchi and their four children and families: Marcella and Greg Pierce of Endwell, NY, Robert and Shari Nirchi of Mooresville, NC. Philip Nirchi and partner Augustine Jalomo of Dallas TX, and Anthony Nirchi of Endwell, NY. Two grandchildren Steven Pierce of Owego, NY, Ariana Nirchi of Mooresville, NC. Four great grandchildren: Kayla Pierce, Adelynn Pierce, Khole Nirchi, Jayden Nirchi. One sister Patricia Alfieri of Endicott, NY. Brother in law Rudy Pisani of Endicott, NY. Many nieces, nephew,s cousin,s and good friends. Tony was a long time member and usher of Christ the King Church in Endwell, NY before it was combined to form Church Of The Holy Family also in Endwell, NY. He was an honorary member of the Knights Of Columbus for over 30 years as well as the Mutual Aid Society. Tony had a profound love for the Boston Red Sox and was a coach for EYO little league baseball team in Endwell, NY. He loved music, dancing and all things Italian. Tony will be dearly missed by many family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11:30 am at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at church Wednesday from 10:30 am until Mass time at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Mercy House of Endicott, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
