Austin Leo Gray moved into his eternal home on Friday, November 7. His Wife of 54 sat by his side. He died as he has lived- decisively.
Austin was a jack of all trades having worked in farming, transport, machining and more. He could fix most anything and appreciated quality work. He loved antiques, country music, and whatever he believed to be right. Austin was a great cook and could improvise on the spot and still make a delicious meal. His baking skills were unmatched…he could make something with ¾ less sugar than the recipe called for and it would still be AMAZING! Austin also enjoyed a challenge whether it be a Reader’s Digest vocabulary quiz, a crossword, or a game of aggravation (yes, its name fits it well).
Austin was a man his loved ones could count on, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, his son, Brett (wife, Angela), grandchildren, and great grands- Kelsey (spouse, Allen-children, Jordyn and Aaryn) and Cam (partner, Kasey-baby, Taylin) siblings, Connie Watts, Frank Walls (partner, Judy), and Billie Jo Youmans (husband, Craig), and several nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his parents Carl and Evelyn Walls and siblings, Carl Walls and Nancy Pyer.
The family invites you to a celebration of Austin’s life on Saturday, November 15 from 1-3pm at the Brightman Senior Center, 25 Birdsall Street, Greene, NY.
