Our beloved, Beverly Bikos, 86, of the Vestal Chateau, entered eternal paradise in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 27, 2026.
Mom brought comfort and most of all acceptance to everyone; through her kindness and gentle spirit mingled with her amusing sense of humor, she left a lasting impression on all.
Family was the center of Mom's world. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Estelle Cole and the oldest of four girls, a role she carried with quiet strength and devotion. Her sisters, Barbara Clapper, Bonnie Welch, and Nancy Beardsley (Bob), respected her and turned to her for guidance and support throughout their lives. Five blessed children were honored to call her mom: John Bikos Jr, Diane Dorin (Bob), Lori Keith (Doug), Patricia Bikos (Wayne), and Sherri Bailey (Larry). She was also called Grandma by twelve adoring grandchildren: Erika, Jessica, Christopher, Elizabeth, Ashley, Joshua, Brandon, Danielle, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Jordan and Ethan. Eleven little people called her Great Grandma- Isaiah, Sophia, Jacob, Zayne, Izabella, Alexander, Beckett, Jaxson, Leighton, Leo, and Judah.
Grandma was in her element with each one, sharing a mischievous trick up her sleeve or a fun-filled adventure. Mom, too, treasured her friendships: her Florida/Binghamton crew, her Greek House crew, her Vestal Chateau family, her NewLife family, and so many more. Her precious time with Tom, her companion, brought her much happiness. Her twenty years of service at BAE Systems added to her list of lifelong friendships.
Our family extends our deepest gratitude to Guthrie Hospice and especially to Brittni for the respect, dignity, and loving care she gave our mom. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
Though she will be deeply missed, Mom's love remains with us always-in our memories, in our hearts, and in the way we continue to care for one another.
No Rules, Mom!
