Bonnie Eckman

Bonnie Eckman of Johnson City, NY, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home after a courageous battle with cancer on 10/29/2017. Predeceased by her Parents William Eckman and Dorothy Ward, Bother William Eckman, and Burton “Punky” Stasko, her Sons Tommy Miller, and Donald Finch. Survived by her loving Husband Richard “Dick” Smith, Daughter Sherry Eckman Foote, Marc Knickerbocker Daughter Tammy Miller, Grandchildren, Brandon Wach, Adam Wach, Austin Simon, Miranda Plummer, Kyle Finch, Step father Ozzie Ward, Sister Pat and Tom Bradly, Sister Debbie and Roger Bently, Sister Robin and John Dutcher, Aunt Betty Valentino, several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She retired from the Department of Social Services after many years of dedicated service.
Bonnie was very passionate about her family and she always put them above herself. She loved fishing, and was an avid bingo player. She will be remembered for her giving spirit and her non-judgmental attitude and her love for her Pitbull dog Nala. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to ones choice of animal rescue.
Per her wishes no services will be held. The family wishes you to think of a fond memory of Bonnie.
