Brent Bowers

Brent F. Bowers of Apalachin, NY, passed away very peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family and loved ones after a 5 year long battle with cancer on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He is now reunited with his son, Brent who predeceased him 29 years ago, and his parents Richard P. and Evelyn I. Bowers in a grand reunion in heaven.

Brent is survived by his loving wife & best friend of 46+ years, Trudi Bowers; daughters, Christi (Larry) A’hearn and Katie Bowers (Kijanna Rose); the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Brent, Brodi and Khloe; brother, Bradford (Ellen) Bowers; sister, Joanne Bowers; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Mike Yesalonia along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Brent grew up in Norwich, NY and held many long-lasting relationships with multiple lifelong friends that he held dear to him, too many to list for fear of leaving someone out. Brent had many interests including fishing, hunting and many other outdoor sports; especially golf where he spent years participating in tournaments, playing a round of golf with friends & family to perfect his craft, and enjoyed his Wednesday night golf league with his buddy Mark.

His forever love of hunting and fishing lead him to spend a lot of time at Grouse Ridge with his lifelong childhood friend Peter. We traveled and had many memories with Katie and Peter that will be forever cherished in our hearts.

Brent was retired from UHS where he had the opportunity of creating great friendships. He was a longtime member of the Elks club in Vestal where he enjoyed special leisure visits with his wife on a Friday afternoon.

At Brent’s request there will be no services, however a celebration of life in his honor will be announced and held at a later date. The family would appreciate any expressions of sympathy in Brent’s memory be made to the Vestal Elks Lodge #2508, 2071 Vestal Parkway West, Vestal, NY 13850, where they recognize and do so much for our community.
