Charles “Ed” Coleman

Charles E. (Ed) Coleman, 89, of Vestal, died at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Friday, November 23, 2018. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Bette, his parents, Garry and Cathryn Coleman, and sister, Natalie. He is survived by his sister, Maureen Coleman. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his children, Thomas (Gretchen), Terri (Michael) Bilello, Patti Spencer, Gary (Christine), William (Saushang), Robert (Lisa), and Lynn (Jeff) Crawford. Ed will also be fondly remembered by his eleven grandchildren, Patrick, Lauren, Kristen, Kelly, Rebecca, Sarah, Ashley, Shelby, Endicott, Alexis, and Tara; and one great-grandchild, Peter. Ed was a veteran of the United States Army, a retired employee of IBM Endicott, and an alumnus of the Syracuse Brigadiers. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, and passion for golfing, bowling, and “big band” music. The family wishes to thank the caring nurses of Astor Place at Ideal Health in Endicott, NY.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 11 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main Street, Vestal. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at church Saturday from 10 am until Mass time at 11 am.
