David Jenkins

David Jenkins, 69, of Vestal, went to be with his Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, on April 11, 2014. After suffering from ALS for 3 years, he died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his parents, Keith and Hilda Jenkins, and one brother, Peter Jenkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Priscilla (Little) Jenkins; daughters Rachel Jenkins and Amethyst (Shaun) Foland; granddaughters Syreeta and Annabelle; brothers John (Connie) Jenkins and Philip (Marj) Jenkins; nephews, nieces, cousins, and many dear friends. He was born in Bournemouth, England, and moved to Vestal in 1972. He retired from the US Postal Service in 2006. He enjoyed visiting family in England and was active in making Bible texts for missionary distribution in the Caribbean. The family wishes to thank Peggy & the Lourdes Hospice staff, and Dr. Jeremy Shefner and his staff at the ALS Clinic at University Health Care Center, Syracuse.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Wednesday evening from 6-9 pm.
