David Charles Rider

David C. Rider, 73, of Endwell, New York, passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 30th, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents, Peggy and Charles Rider. He is survived by his children, Amber and Timothy Olmstead, Melissa Rider, and Lauren Rider, eight loving grandchildren, and his siblings, Melodie and William Lowther, Charlene and James Kabanek, and Gregory and Terri Rider. He lived a life of service to others being both a Vietnam Veteran and working for the Broome County Department of Social Services for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed spending time on his boat, and was known for his wit and ability to make others laugh. He has left behind a legacy of sacrificial love and devotion.
Funeral services for David will be held on Thursday, August 6th at 10 am at Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Blvd, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the church from 9 am until service time at 10 am.
