Diane Dillenbeck O’Brien 62, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2016 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY surrounded in love by her family and close friends. She was predeceased by her father, Hugh Miller and survived by her mother Helen and step father Tom Decker. She is survived by her husband Philip Dillenbeck, who was her loving companion for the last 19 years. She will be forever loved by her two daughters Lisa (Scott) Mattle Livingston and Kelly (David) Bernardini and four grandchildren Olive, Jaden, Chase and Alexis. She will be deeply missed by her twin sister Debra Heberling and siblings, Kathy Connolly, Isabel Itterly, Ada Lynch, Marlene (Steve) Donnelly and Doug Clapper, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. Diane was a member and former bartender at the American Legion Post 1700 where she was dedicated to supporting our country’s veterans. Her laugh, smile and outgoing personality touched many there. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, vacationing in Florida and spending time with her grandchildren. Diane had a big heart and we all will miss her fun, caring, and contagious personality. We love her deeply. We would like to thank all her family and friends who stood by her through her courageous battle, especially Maggie (Dave) Gagliardi and Jim Speanburgh. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Strong Memorial for the compassionate care and support they provided.

Family and friends are invited to the American Legion Post 1700, on October 8th at 1:30 pm to celebrate her life. In honor of Diane’s journey, the family would like to encourage donations to the Harbor House which provides a supportive temporary home for patients awaiting transplantation and their families. http://www.harborhouseofrochester.org/
