Doris Cox

Doris M. Cox, 89, of Endicott, passed away at Ideal Senior Living Center, Sunday, September 29, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband William; brother Truman Whitaker and brother in law Charles Griffin. She is survived by a son and daughter in law Donald and Carol Cox, Endwell; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; a sister Shirley Griffin, Johnson City; sister in law Elizabeth Whitaker, Vestal and several nieces; nephews and cousins. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Endicott; former IBM Corp. employee and a member of its Quarter Century Club and Second Generation Club. Doris was also a member of Ideal Hospital Women’s Auxiliary.
Funeral and Interment Services will be held Tuesday 2 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with Reverend Mark Marino, Pastor of her church officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Tuesday from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, 8 South Avenue B, Endwell, NY 13760.
