Dorothy Moran

Dorothy A. (Hickey) Moran, 88, of Endwell, passed away on January 3, 2019. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years Robert J. Moran; her parents Jerome and Bea Hickey, her brother Gerald J. Hickey, brothers in law Robert Lannon and Philip Kelly. She is survived by a daughter and son in law Catherine and Michael Hoeflein; son Timothy Moran and his partner Peggy Lyons; grandsons Christopher (Megan) Hoeflein and Daniel Hoeflein; great grandsons Joseph and Charlie Hoeflein; sisters Irene Kelly and Joan (Robert) Pulse; sisters in law Phyllis Lannon and Virginia Hickey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A devout Catholic, Dorothy was a member of the Church of the Holy Family and a daily communicant. She spent many hours in the Adoration Chapel and had a lifelong devotion to the Blessed Mother.
Dorothy graduated from Union Endicott High School. She worked at IBM and for many years at the Endicott Trust Company.
A heart felt thank you to the staff at Good Shepherd Village for all the loving care, compassion and attention shown to both of our parents and our family over the last several years.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at Church of the Holy Family at 10 am. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation to the Good Shepherd Communities Foundation 32 Village Drive Endwell, New York 13760 or Mercy House of the Southern Tier 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
