Duane G. Starchok of Endicott, NY, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, at the age of 75.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry “George” and Agnes Starchok; son Jeffrey; brothers, Dean, Jerry, and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Jean; his daughter, Kelly (Billy); his grandchildren, Paige (Christopher), Jeffrey (Claire), Corey (Becky), Jordan, Ruby, Abby, and Zoey; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Milo, Kori, Tyler, Ronnie, and Millie; his brothers, Randy and Larry; his sisters, Sharon (Bernie) and Charlene. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in Johnson City, NY and raised in Endicott, NY, Duane a graduate of Union-Endicott High School was employed and retired after many years of service as a Route Salesman for Stroehmann Bakeries.
Duane was a shing light in the lives of all that had the privilege of knowing him. He lived his life with an infectious energy. He enjoyed golfing, singing, dancing and many would describe him as the life of the party. His quick wit was always on display, whether it be a funny phrase or unforgettable one liner. We ask that you remember him for the way he lived his life and the profound impact he had on so many. If inclined, join him in one last cheer for his beloved New York Giants and Yankees.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am, Monday, September 22 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at church, Monday, September 22 from 9:30 am until Mass time at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier or to a charity of one's choice, in Duane’s name.
