Erin Babicek

Erin Babicek, age 37, loving mother of Danielle, and adoring friend to Sam, passed away on June 10th at UHS after a courageous battle with Stiff Person Syndrome which unfortunately became too unbearable for her body to endure. Erin was born in 1985 and grew up in Endicott surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her great grandparents Lee & Pauline Freace, Epifonio & Rose Bevelacqua, her grandparents Joseph & Rose Babicek and JoAnn Bevelacqua. her Aunt Marie and Uncle Eddie. Erin shared a special close bond and loving relationship with her grandmother JoAnn and Aunt Marie and she will now be joining them happily in heaven to walk freely once again. Erin is survived by her daughter Danielle, her parents Tim & Karen Babicek, brother Josh (Cierra) Babicek, nephew Konnor, Grandfather Joseph Bevelacqua, Great Uncle Lee (JoAnne) Freace, Great Uncle Jerry Bevelacqua, Uncle Dom (Tracie) Bevelacqua, Uncle Adrian (Maria) Babicek, Uncle Al (Colleen) Babicek, Uncle Greg Babicek as well as many cousins. She was lucky to have a dear and loving friend Sam Echorst since childhood who stood by her side and made her feel especially special. Erin was a member of OLGC Parish and served as an alter server and usher during her childhood years. She attended UEHS and furthered her education by earning a CNA certificate, culinary skills and a Welding Certificate from Oneonta Job Corp. She went on to work at several positions until the time her syndrome disabled her from engaging in work. She persevered with grace and fought the hard fight until the end.

There will be a funeral service held for Erin on Wednesday, June 15th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Main St. Endicott NY. Calling hours will be from 9:30-10:30 am with a mass to follow.
