Ernest Oakley

Ernest L Oakley, 97, of Endicott, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, October 9, 2013. He is predeceased by his wife, Betty J. (Nicholas) Oakley. He is survived by his daughters, April (Kevin) Shaw of Florida and Karen Bailey of NY; sons, Lee (Dorothy) Oakley of Florida, Richard (Ann Marie) Oakley of NY and Greg Oakley of NY; eight grandchildren, Tyler Oakley, Terry Oakley, Lynette Oakley, Jessica Oakley, Heath Nelson, Joel Sissenstein, Bryan Sissenstein and Angella Sissenstein; as well as eight great grandchildren. Ernest was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. Out of Ernest’s wishes there will be a private ceremony at the convenience of the family.
