Giuseppe D’Introno, September 14, 1929 – November 1, 2026.
With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived, the family of Giuseppe
D’Introno announces his passing on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the remarkable age of 97.
Born on September 14, 1929, in Corato, Bari, Italy, Giuseppe lived an extraordinary life defined by unwavering devotion to family, a tireless work ethic, deep faith, and immense pride in his Italian heritage.
Giuseppe belonged to a generation whose lives were built upon hard work, integrity, sacrifice, and family. These values shaped his character, guided his journey, and became the foundation of the legacy he leaves behind.
At just 14 years old, Giuseppe began what would become a lifelong passion and profession as a
barber. For 74 years, until the age of 88, he devoted himself to his craft. Barbering was more than a livelihood; it was an art, a source of pride, and a way of building lasting friendships.
His barbershop on North Street in Endicott, New York, became more than a place for a haircut. It was a gathering place where conversations flowed, friendships flourished, and generations of customers became part of his extended family. His dedication is preserved at the Bundy Museum in Binghamton, where the interior furnishings of his North Street barbershop are on display.
While Giuseppe took tremendous pride in his work, nothing brought him greater happiness than his family. Together with his beloved wife, Angela, who preceded him in death, he built a life rooted in love, faith, and cherished Italian traditions. Their home was filled with warmth, laughter, Italian music, and wonderful food.
Giuseppe was especially proud of Angela’s cooking and often lovingly declared, “My wife is a true Chef!”
He also loved gardening and the simple joy of bringing loved ones together.
Sunday dinners were especially meaningful. The family table was the heart of his home, a place
where generations gathered, stories were shared, and traditions were preserved. One of his
favorite sayings captured his philosophy of life: “Intorno alla tavola non si invecchia mai.”..........Around the table, one never grows old.
Services were held at the convenience of the family.
