Endicott

Gloria Jean Murphy, 85, of Endicott, passed peacefully on March 31, 2026, returning home to her Lord, surrounded by the love she so freely gave throughout her life.Gloria was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, James, and her son, Brian—both of whom she carried in her heart every day. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted sons, Mark and Tim (Wendy); her daughter-in-law, Heidi (Rick); her treasured grandchildren, Nicole (Matthew), Jacob, Colin, Kayla, and Devon; and her precious great-grandchildren, Maddox, Emma, Kennedy, Miles, and Chase.

To know Gloria was to feel warmth. She had a gift—an extraordinary ability to connect with people in a way that made them feel truly seen, heard, and valued. Whether you met her once or knew her for a lifetime, she had a way of making you feel like family. And for many, that is exactly what she became.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Gloria was a devoted member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Endwell. Her faith was not just something she believed—it was something she lived every day through kindness, compassion, and quiet strength. She was a steady light in the lives of those around her, offering comfort, encouragement, and love without hesitation.

Gloria’s life was rich in simple but meaningful joys—time spent with family, laughter with friends, and the countless small moments that, in her presence, felt like everything. Her friendships spanned decades, a testament to the genuine care she gave so freely. These were not just friendships—they were bonds that became family.

Her strength and courage carried her through life’s challenges with grace. Even in difficult times, she remained a source of light, reminding those around her what it means to love deeply and live faithfully.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire team at McHarrie Life. Your care, compassion, and kindness meant more than words can express. You are, and will always be, angels in our eyes.
