Harold J. Sabol

June 29, 1956 — April 18, 2026

Endicott

Harold J. Wolsieffer, Jr.- Sabol, 69, of Endicott, New York, a man of unwavering loyalty, deep faith, and resilient spirit, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, after a hard-fought journey with cancer. A man of his word and a pillar of honor, Harold lived a life defined by character and an immense heart.

Born June 29, 1956, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Harold’s life was shaped early by the strength of family. His biological father, Harold Wolsieffer Sr., passed before his birth, and Harold was adopted by Daniel Sabol in 1959 after his mother, Regina, remarried. This foundation of family defined the man Harold became—one who understood that love is a choice and loyalty is a lifetime commitment.

To know Harold was to experience wisdom, laughter, and a steady stream of jokes. He was fair, honest, and profoundly trustworthy. As a faithful and active member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, he lived these values daily, serving as a pillar of faith for his church family. He was always ready to lend a hand for church events, especially when it involved cooking with his close friends, Dennis Ruggieri and Ed Ranucci.

Harold found joy in life's simple beauties whether it was the thrill of a Philadelphia Eagles game (Go Birds!), the speed of a NASCAR race or a quiet afternoon enjoying the weather and conversation with close friends he had a way of making the simplest moments feel full. He took immense pride in his home and yard, and was a talented cook who believed every occasion was an opportunity to share love through a good meal. In his younger years, he found peace in the outdoors, spending much of his time camping and fishing with his close friend Frank Longo.

Harold’s deep sense of loyalty was most evident in his devotion to his mother, Regina, whom he proudly and faithfully cared for in their family home until her passing in 2023.

When faced with his diagnosis, Harold met the challenge with the same tenacity and quest for knowledge that he applied to all things. A self-educated advocate for his own health, he never veered off "Faith Street." He viewed every extra day as a gift from God, thanking Him daily for every miracle—large and small. He remained deeply grateful for his healthcare team, his loyal friends, and his "prayer warriors" who walked beside him through each step and phase of his battle.

He is survived by a community of friends and loved ones who will forever remember him as a man of honor and an enduring spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Regina Sabol; his brother, Michael Sabol; and his biological father, Harold Wolsieffer Sr.
