Helene M. DeVita, 74, of Endwell, went to join her late husband Alfred Anthony DeVita Sr. and her son Joseph DeVita Thursday January 31, 2013. She is survived by her sister Nancy Brooks; children Paul DeVita, Cynthia Giambrone, Carol DeVita and Alfred Anthony DeVita Jr.; 9 grandchildren Angela Giambrone, Jennifer Giambrone, Nunzio Giambrone, Melissa DeVita, Landon DeVita, Vincent DeVita, Nicholas Lee, Stephanie DeVita and Joseph DeVita Jr. and one great grandchild Arianna DeVita. She was full of life and loved her children and grandchildren more than words could ever describe. Family meant everything to her and she would not have traded family time for all the riches in the world. She was humble, honest and very nurturing and was the glue that held the family together.She loved to reminisce, laugh and talk for hours. She will forever be in our hearts and forever on our minds. Her family will miss her dearly and the memory of her will forever live through them. “Heaven must have needed a friend and that’s where you’ll be when we meet again.” And as the late Alfred Anthony DeVita Sr. would say, “You better believe it”.The family would like to thank everyone for their support and kinds words during this difficult and challenging time.Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 11 am from the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street Endicott, with the Reverend Father James Serowik officiating. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, Monday evening from 5-8 pm.
