Hermine Harold Edmanson

Aug 31, 1950 — Aug 15, 2026

Endicott

Hermine Edmanson was born on August 31, 1950 and peacefully passed on August 15th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted Christian woman whose faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life. Hermine believed deeply in the power of prayer and carried her faith with her through every season of her life.

Before moving to the Southern Tier, Hermine was a longtime member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Stottville, New York. In 2013, she became a member of Christian Life Church in Endicott, NY, where she continued to grow in her faith and worship.

Hermine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She found joy in caring for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved cooking, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a generous heart and found fulfillment in making sure the people around her felt loved and cared for.

Hermine also loved to travel and enjoyed seeing new places and creating memories with the people she loved. Until she was no longer able to, traveling was one of the many things that brought her happiness.

Hermine was the beloved daughter of the late Violet and Harold Dougall. She leaves behind her four children, Peta, Shannon, Sheldon, and Veneisha, who will carry her love and memory with them always. She is also lovingly remembered by her two sons-in-law, Malachi and Ernest, and her daughter-in-law, Christine. Hermine also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Andrea.

She was a proud grandmother to 13 beautiful grandchildren: Jasmine, Amair, Ernest, Jaiden Christian, Caleb, Leroy, Andrea, Adaliah, Neveah, Daniel, Bellah, and Natalie. Her grandchildren brought tremendous joy to her life. The memories and love she shared with them will continue through generations.
Hermine is also survived by her siblings John, Edith, Charlton, Eric, Cislyn, Justina, Marion, Myrtle, and Barbara. Along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Hermine also had a special place in her heart for the beloved animals who were part of her family's life, including her granddog Monty, grandcat Milo, and great-grandpup Chai. They were part of the family and brought her joy, and moments of happiness.

Hermine's life was rooted in faith, family, love, and service to others. She taught those around her the importance of prayer, compassion, perseverance, and keeping Jesus at the center of their lives. Her kitchen, her garden, her home, and her heart were places where people could find comfort, love, and a helping hand.

Her family will forever cherish the memories she gave them. From family gatherings, conversations, laughter, prayers and the countless everyday moments that became precious simply because she was there.

Though her absence leaves a tremendous space in the hearts of those who loved her, her family finds comfort in knowing that her faith has carried her home. Hermine is now at peace.

Her love lives on through her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and every person fortunate enough to have known her. Her memory will never fade and her legacy of faith, love and kindness will continue through the generations.
