Ignazio “Neish” Longo

Ignazio “Neish” Longo, 92, of Endicott, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017. He was predeceased by his wife Irene. He is survived by his children Robert Longo; Tina (Jeff) Hammond and Thomas (Michelle) Longo; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; a sister Palma Longo; brother Frank Longo; also several nieces; nephews and cousins. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and its choir and was a retired IBM Corp. employee and member of its Quarter Century Club. Neish was also a veteran of W.W. II, serving in the US Navy. Some of his memberships included the Endicott Senior Citizens, Sts Cosmas and Damiano and the Alberobellesse Clubs.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 12 pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at church Thursday from 10 am until Mass time at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church Elevator Fund or Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
