If you had the honor of meeting “Aunt Jackie,” you had a best friend for life. Anybody she came across became her friend, even if it was just through asking to bum a smoke. Instant love! Jackie listened with the most concerned ears! She loved with her strongest hug. And lastly, Jackie could always make fun appear out of nowhere. On broke day, snowy or rainy, she’d find something for us to do.
Everyone looked to you, Mom, for comfort and guidance at some point in time. They just don’t make them like you anymore.
In this world, Jackie is survived by her only daughter, Takayla (wife Lexy); her mom Sandra, and her sisters Heather and Michele. She is also survived by her aunts, Susie and Debbie, and her uncle Danny. But as well, she leaves behind countless dear friends of new and old, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In Aunt Jackie’s name we say, “BOUNCY BOUNCY BABY!”
On January 9, 2025, after several years of steadily declining health, Jacqueline Michele Carlin, 51, slipped away surrounded by the love of friends and family. She lost her mother, Carol, in 2002 and her father, Dennis, in 2014.
Funeral Services for Jackie will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 1 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott. The family will receive friends from 11 am until Service time at 1 pm. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Newark Valley, at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Jackie believed strongly in the practice of “pay it forward.” The family encourages you to follow Jackie’s example by “paying it forward” often, and showing your love to all without reservation or hesitation.
