Jane Reed

Jane 0. Reed, 97, of Endicott passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 1, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband Spencer D. Reed II. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Deborah and John H. Wirag, a son Spencer D. Reed III of Long Island, a grandson John Spencer Wirag of Houston TX, and nieces and nephews. Immeasurable gratitude to nieces Valerie (Caddick) Clarke and Pamela(Caddick) Kelly whose love and attention enhanced her life. Guardian angels Sarah, Michelle, and Jack became family to Jane through their kindness and love. Additional recognition to Dr. Michael Choi for his special care of Jane, body and soul. Jane was a founding member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Endicott, to which she devoted her spiritual life. She was a longtime member of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She loved all animals and especially her cat, Yeller. Her lust for learning and people afforded her lasting friendships and great adventures.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 200 Jefferson Ave., Endicott at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Jane’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s or the charity of your choice.
