Jean Sullivan

Jean L. Shaffer Sullivan, 95, passed away on November 11, 2018 at Valley View Manor Nursing Home where she resided for the last 13 years. Jean was born in Sayre, PA to the late Clinton and Frances Shaffer. She married Arthur B. Sullivan on May 12, 1962, in Liverpool, NY. Arthur passed away in 1967. Jean worked for the Liverpool Central School District in Liverpool, NY for many years until she retired. She had many friends that she enjoyed traveling and sharing experiences with. Jean was a kind and thoughtful person and usually had a smile on her face with unshakable perseverance and independence. She was predeceased by her brother and sisters, Donald Shaffer, Auburn, CA, Evelyn Wright, Endicott, NY and Lois Engleman-Divet, Johnson City, NY. Jean is survived by her many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her extended family.
Jean was laid to rest at Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Valley View Manor Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to Jean during her stay there.
