Jeffrey C. Lee, 62, of Johnson City passed away peacefully at Guthrie Troy Community Hospital, in Troy PA, on Wednesday November 7th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous and hard-fought battle against ALS. He was predeceased by his mother, Marian Helmer Lee. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Lee, whose never ending love and support carried him through his toughest days; his devoted daughter and son-in- law Nicole and Bill Weaver; his grandchildren Erick Jeffrey and Emalee who love their “Papa” very much and were his pride and joy; his father David Lee; brothers Chip (Kathy) Lee and Phillip Lee (Andrew Drumheller), sisters Debbie (Brian) Slattery, Karen (John) Wichowski, and Suzanne Lee (Ray Robinson); goddaughters/nieces Megan (Ray) Houle and Kristen Wichowski, nieces Jill (Chris) Monticello, Kelly (Andy) Cortright, and Kate Slattery (Trevor Barney), nephews Christopher (Kelley) Lee and Michael (Sarah) Wichowski, and several great nieces and nephews; his cat, Xena; and many other family and friends who also loved him dearly. Jeff was a service writer for many years at Miller Honda and was most recently a driver for UPS. He was very gifted at Masonry, a talented drummer and was a loyal fan of the New York Giants. He had an iron-will; his motto of “never give up” was his driving force making him an inspiration to all who knew him. He was and will continue to be a hero to his family. The family would like to thank the staff at Troy Hospital for the 8 years of wonderful care that was provided to him. A special thank you is given to Dr. Good whose attentive care blessed Jeff with additional years he may not have otherwise had and the compassion he showed to Jeff and his family will never be forgotten.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 200 Jefferson Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, Monday from 4-7 pm. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ALS Association, Upstate NY Chapter, 135 Old Cove Road, Suite 213, Liverpool, NY 13090 in hopes that one day a cure can be found.
