John A. Hayek

John Hayek of Endwell, NY went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2026. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved all Cleveland sports but was the biggest fan of his grandsons. He always came to as many concerts, baseball games, soccer games, and swim meets as he could. He loved to “help” the umpires call the games.

John was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Marge. He is survived by his daughter Kristen (Jason) Mooney, grandsons Joshua and Matthew, sister Louise Hayek, and brother Joseph (Jannie) Hayek, as well as several nieces and nephews.

John was a proud graduate of THE Ohio State University and enjoyed attending football games annually with lifelong friend Jon Ward. John was an avid golfer and made many friends on the course. John and Marge enjoyed their annual trip to Florida to watch spring training games and visit friends.

Funeral services will be held on March 20th, 11:00 at Church of the Holy Family, Endwell. The family will receive friends at 10:00 preceding mass.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in John’s name to the Salvation Army Binghamton Corps or Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
