Jude Travlos, 68, was called home by the Lord on Sunday, January 6, 2019. She passed unexpectedly, yet peacefully, with her devoted husband of 45 years by her side. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Angel; her parents, A. Gerald and Theresa Gilroy; in-laws, Lewis and Diana Travlos; and sister-in-law, Toy Travlos. She is survived by her husband, Steve; daughters and sons-in-law: Theresa (Don) Moffitt of Guilderland, NY, Courtney Travlos of Endicott, NY, and Chelsea (Brett) Stankevich of Vestal, NY; and her three precious granddaughters: Sydney Moffitt and Maya and Emme Stankevich; good friend and sister-in-law, Cynthia Travlos and brother-in-law, Arthur Travlos. She is also survived by three nieces, extended family, and numerous, loyal and good friends. Jude loved to go shopping with the intention of finding a bargain and always thinking of others. Another passion was baking and boy was she good at it! She made the best baklava in the world! Jude loved all holidays – always dressing up with festive attire – and her bi-annual trips to Wildwood, NJ, which included a girls’ getaway with her longtime friend, Pat Hogeboom. She took such pleasure and joy in being a terrific wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply and greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 am at Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis Street, Endwell. The family will receive friends at church Friday from 9 am until Mass time at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY 13760.
