Lisa M. Rathbun

March 2, 1963 — August 14, 2025

Apalachin

Lisa Rathbun, 62, of Apalachin, NY, passed away from a long fight with Renal Disease on August 14, 2025.

At her side, (as always!) was her mother, Martha DuBois and daughter, Toni Walker. Lisa is also survived by her grandchildren, Olivia and Joshua Walker, who brought her great joy, her brothers, Eric DuBois (Yong Hwa) of Virginia and Michael DuBois (Kim) of Florida, her father, Raymond DuBois of Vestal, NY and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Lisa loved spending time with her family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed going for rides in the car, watching movies, and going out to eat with her favorite people. Lisa also loved playing card and board games, especially when she was crowned "Champion!" You could also find her spending time at casinos, trying to win big, but she never could win that fortune.

Lisa's favorite pastime was swimming like a fish. She loved her pool and any vacation spots she chose were always by the water, whether it was river, lake or ocean. Lisa enjoyed hearing the waves and feeling the breeze near the water. One of her favorite songs was "Cool Change" by Little River Band, especially the lyrics "I was born in the sign of water, and it's there that I feel my best." It was time for her to make her own cool change, but her sense of humor, beautiful smile and loving heart will forever be missed.

Per Lisa's wishes, the immediate family will hold a private celebration of life at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to Save the River (https://www.savetheriver.org/) to help preserve her beloved St. Lawrence River or to the World Wildlife Fund https://www.worldwildlife.org/).
