Louise Shaffer

Louise F. (Velie) Shaffer is now at peace after succumbing to a long illness. She passed away on January 29 at 80 years of age.
She is predeceased by her husband (Donald), her parents (Elizabeth & Charles), her grandson (Kyle), and her beloved dog (Nikki).
Louise is survived by her two sons: Edward (Linda) of Endicott and James (Karen) of Liverpool. She is also survived by her brother Robert (Pat), along with 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Louise was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Vestal. She worked in the banking industry for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, bowling, traveling and playing bunko. In addition, she volunteered for the Vestal Ambulance.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Vestal Volunteer Emergency Squad.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 5th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main Street, Vestal, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.
