Lucia Scampone

Lucia (Alvino) Scampone, born March 8, 1929, passed away Sunday October 28, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was pre deceased by her husband Mario Scampone, parents Vincenzo and Anna (Avallone) Alvino, and a brother Sigismondo Alvino. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-laws Anna Brouker; Rose Ann (David) Haines; Adriana (Timothy) Madison, ten grandchildren Jessica (Josh), Eric, Lance, Danielle (Laird), Nathan, Julie, Dan, Amanda, Katelyn, Delanie, and Nicole; four great grandchildren Vincent, Katherine, Alex, and Ella. She is also survived by four sisters and a brother Assunta Infante, Giuseppina (Pietro) Penna, Carmelina (Alfredo) Papa, Maria (Umberto) Della Sala, and Cristofaro Alvino, as well as several nieces and nephews including special nephews Vince (Josette) Abruzzini, and Anthony (Linda) Abruzzini, and many wonderful friends. She was a member of St. Mary’s the Assumption for many years until she moved to Endicott and became a member at St. Ambrose and was a member of the St. Ambrose choir.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home 511-513 East Main Street Endicott followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church at 10 am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Tuesday from 4-7. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Broome County Council of Churches Faith in Action 3 Otseningo Street Binghamton, NY 13903.
