Marilyn Ann Conner

Marilyn Ann Conner, 73, of Endwell, NY, passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents: Mary and Harold Heaton. Grandchildren Harper and Parker Conner. Marilyn is survived by her son Brian Conner and wife Stephanie; grandchildren Isabella, Joseph, Daniel; sisters Eileen Heaton, Teresa Heaton (David Dirig); cousins Michael, Jennifer, Jeremy and Erin Donovan, Catherine, Michael, Brian and Jessica Haas, Sue Donovan, Keenan and Brynn Hall. Dr. Katie Pompeani. Patrick and Maria Costello, David and Sharon Costello.

She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel, SNKC, STPCA, PEN-NY ASC(Pennsylvania/NY Australian Shepherd Club)
HONYASC (Heart of NY Australian Shepherd Club). ASCA Australian Shepherd Club of America.

She was instrumental in the establishment and launch of the ASCA Scent Detection Committee and chaired the first ASCA scent trial in the country for the PEN-NY ASC. She also chaired a number of obedience and rally trials for the club, and also several other dog training organizations.

Marilyn worked at Giant, and then Weis for 47 years as head bookkeeper; she trained dogs for over 30 years, and was a loving mother, sister, friend to many. She graduated UEHS, and SUNY Cobleskill with an Associates Degree in Animal Science.

Marilyn was greeted at the rainbow bridge by: Jubilee, Jake, Patches, Betsy, Cassie, Enya, Blue, Indy, Quilt, and Brodie. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Broome County Dog Shelter on Cutler Rd. or The Southern Tier Police Canine Association on Lorne Drive in Endwell.

A visitation will be Friday, June 27, from 5-7 pm at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 701 West Main Street., Endicott on Saturday, June 28 at 10:30 am. Interment will take place later.
