Martha T. Bunzey

Martha T. Bunzey 91, of Vestal and Endicott New York, passed away on March 9, 2026 at Mercy House. She was born December 18, 1934 to her parents, the late Martha and Joseph Murphy. Martha was predeceased by two children Michael Bunzey and Bonnie Decker, her sisters Marie Tzivanis, Frances Crotsley, and brother Joseph Murphy. She is survived by her children Joelene (Charles) Carey, Timothy (Linda) Bunzey, Deborah (Tony) Evans, sister-in-law Susan Bunzey, son-in-law Dana Decker and sister JoAnn Condon, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was a retired nurse of many years from UHS. Mom loved to do yard work and to read.

A Funeral Mass for Martha will be held on Wednesday March 18th at 10:00AM at St Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Avenue, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, New York. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 9-9:45 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Martha’s name to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760.
