Mary Ann Guarnieri

On November 1, 2018 Mary Ann passed away at home, as was her wish, to reunite with her husband Ronnie. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Catherine Coyle and three brothers Bernard, Francis and Raymond and her niece, Catherine Coyle. She is survived by her children Rita and Ray Meattey, Ronnie and Tina Guarnieri, Maureen and Jeff Adams and Michael Guarnieri; her grandchildren Joseph and Christopher Meattey, Nicholas and Samantha Adams, Shelby Guarnieri, her brother and sister in law John and Peggy Coyle and sister in law Angela Coyle; her brother in law and sister in law Joseph and Donna Guarnieri. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins and life long friends. After raising her children, MaryAnn spent many years at Broome County Motor Vehicles, Social Services and NYS Department of Labor. After retirement, she enjoyed the time she and Ron spent in the sunshine and sunsets of Florida and Cayuga Lake. A nice Irish girl, who enjoyed lifelong friendships with her schoolmates. She was intuitive, had an incredible memory and could tell an excellent story. She was an avid shopper, creative cook and excellent at 20 questions. Mary Ann will be remembered for her words of wisdom she generously bestowed upon her children and grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Avenue Endicott, NY on Wednesday November 7, 2018 from 1-3 pm, followed by a Funeral Mass at 3 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in MaryAnn’s memory may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier 212 North McKinley Avenue Endicott, NY 13760 or charity of your choice.
