Nancy M. Fanelli, 92, of Endicott NY went to be with our Lord and her husband on Saturday, January 19, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, her parents Rocco and Marietta Quaranta, Sr.; her brothers Nick (Viola), Angelo, Tony and Rocco Quaranta;and sisters, Rose (Raymond) Ligouri and Laura(Art) Piccotti. Nancy is survived by her devoted children Joseph (Jenny) Fanelli, of Syracuse, NY, Marie (Larry) Bates of Endicott, NY and Peter (Maureen) Fanelli, of Endicott, NY; her loving grandchildren, David (Grace) Fanelli, Peter Fanelli and Danielle Myers, Joseph Fanelli and Heather Rinder, Anthony (Jenine) Bates, Christopher Bates and Sundae Oxley, Danielle Bates and Gavin Keaty, Adrienne Bates and Ed Menhennett, Michael (Katlyn) Fanelli, Kristin (Kyle) Bowers and Nicholas Fanelli; and her great-grandchildren Rose and Mae Fanelli, Angelina Bates and Christopher (Sabrina) Wright, Noah Bates and Isaiah Oxley, Sidney Menhennett, Mia and Liliana Fanelli, and Ava and Ella Bowers; sisters-in-law Glenda Quaranta and Connie Quaranta; as well as several special cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Nancy was a member of St. Ambrose Church in Endicott, NY and formerly of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott, NY for many years. She worked for Endicott-Johnson Corporation and retired from Burt’s Department Store in Endicott. She used to love doing ceramics and was a talented tole painter for a time, but her main love was caring for her family and cooking her Italian delights for them. She treasured her marriage to Peter for 70 years until his passing in 2017. She missed him dearly and now is forever joined with him in Heaven and together they will watch over their family. Nancy’s family would like to thank the staff at Vestal Park Nursing Center (especially Maria and Theresa) for their kind and loving care shown during her stay there.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ambrose Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen memorial Home Friday from 4-7 pm. Expressions of sympathy in Nancy’s memory may be made to the National Shrine of St. Jude/Claretian Missionaries, 205 West Monroe Street, Chicago, IL 60606.
