Norma Kucharek

Norma H Kucharek, 87, of Endwell, New York passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 with her daughter and son by her side. Born in Deposit, NY, she was a long time resident of the Triple Cities. Norma was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Martin Kucharek in 2014. Norma is survived by her daughter, Regina Kucharek of Endwell, NY; son, Martin Kucharek and his wife Susan of Roseville, CA; grandson, Jesse Kucharek of Ridgecrest, CA, grandson Adam Kucharek and his wife Michelle of Roseville, CA; great-granddaughter, Lilliana Rose Kucharek of Roseville, CA, and her sister, Eleanor France who passed away the following day on February 16, 2016. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Elizabeth Kucharek, Endwell, NY and sister-in-law, Wilma Kucharek, Binghamton, NY; also many nieces and nephews. Norma retired from IBM-Owego but her first priority was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Binghamton and more recently attended Calvary Community Church, Johnson City. Norma enjoyed reading her daily Bible passages, listening to and singing hymns, the companionship of her grand puppies and traveling the world with her husband Marty. She was an especially loving and caring woman who was committed to her family and to God. The family wishes to thank the staff of OFA Yesteryears Endwell for providing a safe and caring place for her to enjoy and to her friends there who brought her much joy. We also wish to thank Dr. Ponton and the staff members on Violet and Daisy Courts at Ideal Living Center for the compassionate and loving care they provided Mom during her brief stay. We will be forever grateful.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1 pm from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. The family will receive family and friends at the Allen Memorial Home Saturday from 12 pm until the time of the service at 1 pm. Interment will be at the Ascension Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date at the convenience of the family.
