Tricia Murray passed away peacefully at UHS ICU on Saturday, July 25 surrounded by all her siblings after years of brave battle with her health. She was much loved and will be sorely missed by her large family. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, James and Patricia Murray and eldest brother Jim and (SIL) Betsy Murray. She is survived by her brother Gerard, who lived with and cared for her in Johnson City; Mike and Debbie Murray, Utica, Carla and Darrell Coon, JC, Chris and Nancy Murray, Endicott, Paul and Donna Murray, Endicott, Joe and Sharon Murray, Rochester, her Godchildren, Jim Murray, Daniel Coon and Catherine (Coon) von Clef, and her 29 nieces and nephews.
Tricia went to Saint Joseph’s grade school, Seton and UE High schools, Broome Community College and the Decker College of Nursing at SUNY Binghamton. She was a Registered nurse and worked on the Medical Surgical Unit of Binghamton Psychiatric Hospital. Tricia lived with her parents caring for both of them as both daughter and nurse until their passing. Her skills as a nurse even in retirement were lauded by their physicians and the family was blessed to have her always there. Tricia was the most loving of Aunts and every niece and nephew benefited by her care, with treats or toys always kept for their visits wherever she lived, to her wisdom, when so many would come to her for advice and understanding.
Family and friends will be welcomed at St. Joseph’s Church on Hayes Ave in Endicott, NY from 9 am-10 am, Tuesday, August 4, followed by Holy Mass and internment at upper Calvary Cemetery, JC, NY.
