Paul Douglas Schneider

Paul Douglas Schneider, 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 21, 2026. Doug grew up in Chicago but spent most of his life in New York until moving to Green Bay to be closer to his parents.

He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Barbara Schneider and his cats, Corey and Typo. He is survived by his wife, Terri, who he met at Syracuse University, where he earned a degree from the Newhouse School of Public Communication.

Doug began his journalism career in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, and then wrote for several papers in New York including the Press and Sun- Bulletin before returning to the mid west and writing for The Green Bay Gazette. While there, he received numerous awards for investigative reporting, and created Scanner Squawk.

Doug was an avid reader, and a dedicated fan to the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago White Sox and anything hockey.

Per Doug’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
