On April 21, 2022, I, Regina E. Holdren-Neild, 88, went to glory and thanked God for the family waiting for me: my beloved husband Virgil, parents Scott and Elizabeth Holdren, my brother Clarence, and my loving dogs, birds, and cats I lived with throughout my life.
I was blessed with three children Cindy Neild-Rounds (Gary), Lindsey Neild (Audrey), Wendy Neild-Turner (Tim); five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and my faithful pet companion Gus, who all survive me.
I have only slipped from one dimension to another. You all showed me your love when I was with you. Please keep in mind I Corinthians 13:13.
I request no funeral or memorial service. Instead, give someone a hug.
“I hope God grants my wish to be a guardian angel to all of you.
From Mom, Gram, GG, Sweeper.
Regina’s children remember her as an accomplished seamstress, carpenter, and leathersmith. There was not anything she could not create and humbly gave away much of her handiwork. She was also President of the Owego Christian Woman’s Club and was involved in her church.
Regina’s children are grateful for her caregivers over the past year. We thank them for their compassion, care, and love.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to: Memorial Park Baptist Church, Vestal; Broome County Humane Society; or plant a memorial tree in her honor at a living tribute.org. Here is the link:
