Robert E. Gregory

Robert Gregory, 81, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Robert was born on May 14, 1931, the son of the late Clayton and Eileen Gregory. Robert worked at Endicott Johnson prior to joining the Army. After serving in the Army, he began a career with IBM that lasted 30 years. His favorite time of year was spring, with the smell of fresh cut grass. He would ride his John Deere tractor for hours, making his home look beautiful. Every Sunday he would take his family for a drive and find new and exciting places to see. It was the simple things in life that he enjoyed so much; his family, the John Deere tractor and his new car. He was dearly loved and will be truly missed. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Doris Gregory, two sons, Jeff and Chris Gregory, Kurt Gregory and Elliott Majka, and one daughter, Tina Gregory Heitman. He also shared his life with three daughters, Debbie and Roger Martin, Susie and Brian Jeavons, Terri and Andy Martin, and one son, Joseph and Kim Moyle, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. Robert grew up in a family of twelve children. He was pre-deceased by Charles Gregory, Rose Stahl and Michael Gregory and is survived by Martha Martin, Beverly Ottman, Brenda Rizzi, Mary Race, Betty Brail, Patty Roney, Shirley Grover and James Gregory. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10:15 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main St. Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am at Most Holy Rosary Church, Maine, NY. Burial will be in Maine Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday evening from 5-8 pm.
