Robert F. Roma, 87, of Endwell, NY, died after a short illness, Tuesday, January 14, 2020. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Franchini) and John Roma Sr.; sisters, MaryAnn Zavatto, Antoinette Beem, Elaine Troutman, and Marlene Stacconi, and brothers, Sam J. Roma, Joseph A. Roma Sr., Gino D. Roma Sr., John A. Roma Jr. and Eugene A. Roma. Robert is survived by sisters, Angelina Foote and Rita A. Roma, Endicott and Linda M. Roma-Daskal (Alex Daskal), St. Louis, Mo, and brother Anthony J. Roma, Endicott, sisters-in-law Jane Roma and Judith Roma, Endwell, over one hundred nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins, and Godchild, Jason R. Daskal, and partner Leona Platt, Endwell. Robert was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a 1950 graduate of Union-Endicott High School. He was employed as a typesetter at Union Press, Endicott, and retired from the Binghamton Press. Drafted into the U.S. Army in 1952, Robert was a Corporal, stationed at Camp Chitose, Hokido, Japan, for two years. Robert enjoyed music and dancing throughout his life, and was a New York Yankee baseball fan, taking many bus trips to New York to watch them play.
