In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Rose Marie Simpson of Endwell, New York, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 79, with her beloved husband by her side.
Rose was born on August 1, 1946, in Clairton, Pennsylvania to her loving parents, Julia and Stefan Polinsky. She attended Catholic school, then graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Her studies began at Maison Felix Beauty School where she became a licensed cosmetologist. Later she went on to earn her associates degree at Broome Community College and bachelor’s degree in computer science at Binghamton University. She began her career at CAE-Link before starting at Lourdes hospital as an IT specialist. She later worked at ENSCO, as a software quality engineer before returning to Lourdes to finish her career.
Throughout her life, Rose embodied the spirit of generosity and inclusiveness, touching the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Rose's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She married the love of her life, Francis Simpson, on July 24, 1965, and together they created a beautiful life filled with laughter, warmth, and unwavering support. Their union, which spanned 60 years, was blessed with three children. Rose's heart was as vast as her family, and she delighted in the joys of being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
Rose was known for her ability to engage with others, always eager to help those around her. She opened her home and heart to anyone in need of comfort or companionship, creating a sanctuary of love and acceptance. Rose’s love of genealogy drove her to devote countless hours to uncovering her family’s past. Her love of music, plays, and concerts allowed many of us to come together to share memorable experiences. As a member of the Binghamton Downtown Singers, some of our happiest memories were watching her perform The Messiah alongside her granddaughter, Leah.
Rose was predeceased by her parents, Julia and Stefan Polinsky; her brothers, John and Steve Polinsky, and her beloved son, Glenn Simpson. She is survived by her devoted husband, Francis Simpson; her sister, Carol Hoffman; her daughters, Elizabeth Simpson (Sean McGrath) and Michelle (Olivier) Chevallier; her grandchildren, Leah Campos (Joaquin Zamudio), Alexander Campos (Sethleen Allen), Andrew Campos (Shiana Ferng), and Jade Donaldson; great-grandson, Gareth Campos-Ferng and her dearest friends Sue Kovacic and John Mautone.
Funeral Services for Rose will be held on Wednesday, June 17th at 11 am at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery,
