Rose Tedeschi

Rose (Gasbarra) Tedeschi (88), of Endicott, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 27, 2026. Rose is predeceased by her husband Frank; daughter Rosemarie; parents, Giovanni and Francesca Gasbarra; her sisters, Elena (Nando) Carpentieri, Antoinetta Gasbarra, Margarita Gasbarra, Gioconda Barbara and Maria Fiori. She is survived by her sons, John (Ewa) Tedeschi, and Louis Tedeschi; her grandson, Joseph (Eryka) Tedeschi and great grandson Varian Tedeschi; brother Peter (Maria) Gasbarra; brothers-in-law, Carlo Barbara and Albert Fiori; along with several nieces and nephews, including her special nieces Patty Harmon and Annamaria Konrad.
Rose was born in Olevano, Italy and came to the United States in 1956 where she worked at Endicott Johnson Shoes. She was a devout Catholic at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Mom dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 60 years and their three children. Mom was an amazing cook and baker with her famous homemade gnocchi, manicotti, and legendary cookies, but don't ask her for recipes because there were no measurements.
Later in life, as a resident of The Good Shepard Endwell community, Rose made many more friends! She would get the ladies laughing with her quick wit in that thick Italian accent. Rose cherished her many trips to Virginia to visit family with all the events planned by her daughter-in-law, Ewa along with her many games of Kings-In-The-Corner with her grandson Joey.
The family extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Good Shepard Endwell and the hospice nursing staff at UHS Wilson.
A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 5 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Ave, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of mass at 11:00 AM.
