Rose Mary T. (Albanese) Bramante, 97, formerly of Newark and Endwell, NY passed away peacefully at Ideal Senior Living Center, Endicott NY, on Thursday, March 8, 2018, her residence for the last 12 years where she received excellent care. Rose Mary grew up in Canastota, NY, and attended Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She raised her family in Newark, NY where she taught kindergarten and first grade at St. Michael’s School for 32 years. Rose Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Michael Bramante of Newark, NY in July 1983, and was a widow for 35 years. Her parents, Rosina (Susie) Franchell and Ettore Albanese of Newark, NY, and her sister, Virginia Lou Avino of Stony Point, NY. She is survived by her three children: Mary Margaret (Greg) Paige, St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Nancy (Robert) Brown, Farmville, Virginia, Joseph Bramante (Carol) Endwell, NY, her four grandchildren: Julianne Bramante, Endwell, NY, Katherine Bramante, Raleigh, NC, Michael Bramante, NYC, NY, Sean Brown, Richmond, Virginia; her brother, John (Louise) Albanese, Charlotte, NC; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua in Endicott, NY where she was a lector, Eucharistic minister and religious education teacher. Rose Mary will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and participant in the church community. She had a true passion for helping others which is evident through her many years of teaching, and in her retirement sharing her talents in educational programs. Rose Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling and staying very active through long walks, dancing and participating in church events. For the last 12 years, she has been lovingly cared for at Ideal Senior Living Center battling Alzheimer’s Disease. Everyone there knew her sweet personality and smile and she was fondly known as “Rosie.” Her strong faith in God was evident throughout her lifetime and mercifully she is now at rest and peace in heaven.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:30 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott, NY, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery, Newark, NY at the convenience of the family. The family will received friends at church on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 11:15 am.
