Rosemary (Sbarra) Fiori, 65 of Endicott passed away peacefully at Lourdes Hospital on August 19th, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with lymphoma. Rosemary was predeceased by her parents, Americo and Mary (Sergi) Sbarra; father and mother-in-law, Biaggio and Fannie (Giamei) Fiori; sister-in-law, Diane (Demyan) Sbarra; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sylvia Fiori; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her dedicated husband of 41 years, Victor Fiori; three beloved children, Maria Fiori (Bill Malinovsky), Lisa (Brent) Wilson, Joseph (Melissa) Fiori; grandchildren, Dominic, Bennett, and Jack; brother, William (Patricia) Sbarra; brother-in-law Almondo (Mari) Fiori; an aunt, Rosemary Connerton; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchildren. Rosemary was a 1970 graduate of Union-Endicott High School. Following graduation, Rosemary attended Ridley Lowell Institute and SUNY Broome where she earned a certificate in Medical Transcription. Most recently she was an employee of United Health Services as a Medical Transcriptionist. Rosemary had many interests in her life including quilting, crafts, caring for her flowers, reading, and spending time with her family. Above all else, Rosemary cherished the time she spent with her three grandsons: Dominic, Bennett, and Jack. Each of them brought so much joy to her life. Rosemary’s family would like to express sincere gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate staff of Lourdes Hospital 1 Ross. Additional thanks are extended to Broome Oncology and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 25th at 9:30 am from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, on Friday, August 24th from 4 to 7 pm. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Lourdes Hospital Foundation or Mercy House of the Southern Tier.
