Susanne Harris

Susanne Marie Harris, age 84 of Maine, NY died peacefully in her sleep on March, 15, 2024.
Susanne was born in Endicott, NY in 1940 to Harriet and Howard Gelatt. She graduated from Union Endicott High School before getting married and raising 4 boys. Susanne later returned to school to become a nurse, working at Ideal and Wilson Hospitals. She had many enjoyable years at their St. Lawrence river camp with her family, fishing, playing with her grandchildren and sitting on her porch watching the boats sail by.
Susanne was preceded in death by her Parents, sisters Nancy (Chantry), Marilyn (Tomasky), and Carol(VerBryck), and a brother Robert (Gelatt). She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Jerry, her brothers Robert (Sandy) Hultslander, Jim (Cathy) Gelatt and Paul Hultslander, her 4 sons Jerry (Debbie), Mark (Jodi), Michael (Jane) and Todd (Karen), 8 grandchildren (Kyle, Chad, Kaitlyn, Megan, Steven, Jenna, Jacob and Lynsey), and 8 great grandchildren.
The family would like to recognize the staff at Vestal Park Nursing home for the outstanding care given to Susanne.
Visitation is Friday March 22 at 10am at Endwell Methodist Church (3301 Watson Blvd, Endicott). The funeral service at the church will begin at 11am. The burial will be held at the Maine Cemetery following the service.
